TriVision's Company History
25 Years of Innovation and Growth
This year marks a significant milestone in TriVision’s history – our 25th anniversary. Since our founding in 2000, we have grown into a leading provider of advanced vision inspection solutions for the food and packaging industry. Our journey has been shaped by a passion for innovation, a commitment to quality, and a dedication to helping our customers optimize their production processes.
How It All Began
TriVision was founded by three pioneers in machine vision, Peter Hauge, Ole Neckelmann, and Claus Gramkow, who saw the potential of using vision technology for quality control. They met while working at Maersk’s Odense Steel Shipyard and came from diverse technical backgrounds. Their shared ambition led them to start the company, overcoming early challenges and securing key projects that laid the foundation for success.
One of TriVision’s first major breakthroughs came when we secured an EU-funded project, which provided crucial financial stability in the company's early years. Our first customers, including De Danske Spritfabrikker and Tolstrup, played a vital role in establishing TriVision as a reliable technology partner. A key milestone was our collaboration with ARLA on seal inspection within the color space, which became a cornerstone of our business.
The Key to Long-Term Success
A strong business partnership is built on effective communication and a shared vision. Over the years, the TriVision founders have had some disagreements and navigated many challenges together, finding common ground and adapting to changes in the industry. As Claus Gramkow puts it, "Often, disagreements are not about facts but about expectations for the future. In a business scenario, it’s often about how you see one project developing compared to another. And nobody knows for sure – it’s all about perspective."
Ole Neckelmann adds, "Much like in a marriage, sometimes it helps to step back, reflect, and revisit the discussion later." This pragmatic approach has helped the team choose the right projects to invest in.

From Surviving to Thriving
Over the past 25 years, TriVision has experienced significant growth and made strategic decisions. In 2016, we transitioned from a project-based company to offering more standardized products, supported by an investment from Vaekstpartner Kapital. Jesper Bach joined as CEO the following year, helping refine our product range and market position. In 2023, we expanded into the U.S. market, achieving substantial revenue growth.
While the company has experienced many successes, the founders agree that their greatest achievement is simply making it through the tough times. "There were moments when we were concerned about paying salaries two weeks ahead, but we always found a way," Neckelmann recalls.
Claus Gramkow adds, "Continuous evolution is a victory in itself. Every year has been different from the one before." However, innovation comes with risks, and the company has faced its fair share of challenges. "If we presented all our failed projects from the early years, it would be like a horror movie," Neckelmann jokes. Despite this, these experiences have been valuable learning opportunities.

Future Goals
TriVision’s success is built on a foundation of technical excellence, strong customer relationships, and a commitment to continuous improvement. The founders share a common goal for the future: continued growth and a thriving team of talented professionals dedicated to innovation and quality.
Neckelmann, who describes himself as a "dream seller," finds motivation in solving customer problems with technology they never imagined possible. "From day one, I’ve loved this technology – setting it up, fine-tuning it, and capturing incredible images," he says.
Hauge says "I strive to make sure our customers feel that both we and our partners are easy to work with (…). I also enjoy working with my colleagues and helping them solve challenges (…) because we do our best and we work hard as a team. It makes me really happy to see where we are today".
As we look to the future, our ambition remains clear: to keep innovating, expanding, and strengthening our position as a trusted leader in vision inspection solutions. We thank our customers, partners, and employees for being part of our journey. The best is yet to come!
